[BACKGROUND]
I come from two lineages — African-American and Congolese — and that duality shaped how I see systems rather than single narratives. That perspective shapes how I integrate consumer behavior across research, development, and innovation.

I operate at the intersection of consumer insight, product validation, and innovation strategy across the NPD lifecycle.
Working across insight, innovation, and R&D in parallel has given me a clear view of how product decisions are actually made — and how to convert that intelligence into launches that land with precision.
[AMOREPACIFIC]
At Amorepacific, I established the first dedicated Consumer Insights function in the U.S., building the systems that connected insight to product development, brand strategy, portfolio decisions, and long-term innovation planning.
My role extended beyond research execution. I worked across design thinking, innovation strategy, marketing, and R&D — from early-stage concept development through launch and post-launch optimization — supporting a multi-brand portfolio including LANEIGE, innisfree, and Sulwhasoo.
[BUREAU VAN DIJK]
Before Amorepacific, I was the second hire into a hybrid technical–product role at Bureau van Dijk, a financial data services company later acquired by Moody’s. There, I built processes that translated user feedback into feature roadmaps and product updates across a multi-product SaaS portfolio.
[HOSPITALITY]
I’ve also worked in Michelin-starred hospitality, where I developed the ability to read subtle cues that drive human behavior — the same acuity required in consumer goods research and innovation. That sensory precision continues to inform how I work.

Today, I write The Build Brief — a weekly newsletter on Beauty & CPG R&D strategy, sharing non-confidential insights into the strategic considerations behind consumer products long before they reach the shelf.
